DO I NEED A SENSOR IN THE GROUND?

The Weather Reach Controller Link gets its information from local weather data, so it does not need ground sensors to track water usage. However, ground sensors are still valuable for devices like the Smart Rain Controller. This controller can be used on its own, but results become even more accurate and useful when gathered from sensors. Smart Rain offers a Moisture Sensor, Rainfall Sensor, and Flow Sensor to ensure accurate readings and watering.

DOES SOIL TYPE MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

Yes, because soil is a reservoir. The soil moisture-holding capacity is based on soil type and root depth. The Controller Link’s optimum irrigation amount is based on the soil’s holding capacity. The Water Management Simulation can help you see the relationship between soil type and rooting depth, ensuring accurate watering.


IS THERE A SUBSCRIPTION COST?

  1. In markets with public weather stations, there is no subscription for the data.
  2. Commercial providers require a subscription to get data from their weather station network.
  3. Weather Reach Access is an optional, subscription-based service recommended for those who need remote management.
