Meet Rida

I'm Rida Khan, a freshman at Shasta College. I am a very hardworking and outspoken person. I graduated high school with a 4.0 unweighted GPA and thirteen AP courses under my belt and am planning to transfer for the Fall 2024 semester (a year early) because of the college credit I received in high school.

By the end of my first year, I will be eligible for two associate degrees, one in biological science and one in physical science. I’ve taken an active role in my community in recent years and have even spoken in front of my city council and the American Association of Women in University.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading, drawing, and crochet. I’ve even submitted my art to a few art shows! I’m majoring in natural science and plan to go to medical school in the future. Along with my current major, I’m considering a minor in chemistry as these fields will be instrumental in helping me on my journey to medical school and beyond. I look forward to what the future has in store for me and am excited to take the next step in my education journey!
