The SmartController®, regularly $2,400, is free with the plan. You pay for the one-year Smart Rain plan ($915 per year), activation at $300 per controller, and installation at $1,095 per controller. Everything is paid up front, before your SmartControllers® ship.
What is the commitment?
A one-year Smart Rain plan, signed up by December 11, 2026. Payment is due up front, before your SmartControllers® ship, and the plan renews each year on your purchase anniversary date.
When will we receive the SmartControllers®?
In Q1 2027, ahead of spring irrigation.
Can the system detect leaks?
Yes, with a flow sensor and master valve. The system then flags high and low flow, such as leaks and line breaks, and sends an alert to the SmartApp®.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
Hardware and software upgrades for the life of your active account.
Do utility rebates still apply?
Rebates usually cover part of a purchase price, so they may not apply to controllers with the cost removed.
Who is eligible?
Any organization nationwide with irrigated landscapes and a goal of lowering irrigation costs, including cities, school districts, multifamily communities, and commercial properties. Smart Rain does not serve single-family homes.
